sure this is well documented on the zone etc. but I'm registered here and not there Wink
what definitive ways of making a 5 stud e30 are there? the easy way is e30 m3 front legs (done it today!) but that will be expensive to repeat.
e36 will fit but the rubber top mounts are under such strees I don't like it. have peeps done this and added spherical top mounts to dial the angle in?
I'm geussing e36 compact rear hub flanges as normal e36 don't have enough offset. I'm going investigating on that tomorrow Wink

cheers Smiley

The front HAVE to be made up of the following components to get decent geometry..

E30 M3 TCA bushes.
E36 M3 Evo TCA's.
E36 M3 Evo Hubs/brakes.
E36 Struts (make it M3 for the ARB droplink tabs that will improve handling)
E30 Offset/sdjustable topmounts and spring plates.
E30 springs.

The above will give you the same geometry as an E30 M3

Rears can be Compact, the normal e36 stuff doesnt work being Z axle..

I might have read it wrong on other sites (american ones), but I thought you could use any E36 strut and hub/brake set up. Im sure Ive read some guys are using the 325i/328i struts and brakes (286x22mm) etc due to their choice of wheel size and the expense of getting E36 M3 stuff.

If I was to go the E36 route, I would most likely use the E36 325i/328i struts as the E46 330Ci brakes are a straight bolt on job - 325x25mm discs etc Cool
I think the E46 328i (300x22mm) stuff will work as well if you want to keep 16" wheels.

The E36 M3 Evo brakes will fit under SOME 16" wheels such as 16" style 5's, and style 4's.   The E46 330i/d front brakes fit on NON-M front spindles, are larger than e36 m3 brakes and will require the use of 17" wheels.  Users of the E36 M3 brake setup are using the 25mm MC found on e32 7 series, can't remember the exact model but it has a "25" stamped on the top of the MC.  I can only imagine that the E46 330i/d brakes would benefit from the 25mm MC as well.
E36 M3 struts can use E30 springs, NON-M struts are a slightly larger spring diameter.
