Ok, not technically Readers Rides as such, but seeing as it is 2 members cars, thought I'd make a combined thread..

2 cars on paper very similar, yet quite different in exectution..

Very similar indeed, is the E30 that's not your (BBS wheels) also the same motor M3  Huh?

Love the BBS RC041 wheels, I got a set of 5 that I want to put on my touring, thats the reason I want 5 stud hubs.
Do you know Jhonno what size tyres he's running, my wheels have 225/45x17" and they are far too bigger profile, I was thinking something like 205/40x17" might get the profile right.

So which one is the quicker or haven't you compared them yet  Smiley

The one that isn't mine is a 3.2, mine is a 3.0, mine is slightly lighter with shorter gearing.. Not compared them yet, it will come I am sure  Cheesy

He is running 215/40 tyres on 7.5" rims with Z3M running gear

Is he running the 6 speed or 5.

I'd have thought it'd be a close call when they go up against each other, I recon the ring would be a good place to compare them  Smiley

So whats the most economical way to get 5 stud fitment on my E30  Huh? I got the E36 328i parts if any of them are needed Undecided

328i stuff is no good to you..

There isn't a cheap way to do it properly so you maintain decent geometry basically

Basically the car is a re-shelled MCoupe.  The performace should be on a par, if not better (as long as the 215 tyres can get the power down) than the donor car in every aspect.  Yey.  Shocked

Well the car is now MOT'd..  Yey!

Didn't have the money to tax or pay the extra on the insurance this month though, after buying the bits to finish it off.. Boo!

I can't even begin to tell you what a wind up it was to have to park it up again!

Oh well.. In two weeks I'll tell you what she's like to drive for more than 10 miles.. Hopefully the brakes will bed in so I dont sh!te myself right up again.. lol
